Happy Sunday guys!! I hope your weekend is going well so far and you’re doing lots of fun Christmas-y things. I wanted to pop in real quick today to share my recipe for double chocolate Christmas cookies. I was actually making these yesterday with the kiddos and I shared a few little snippets on Instagram stories. Well I had LOTS of requests to share the recipe, so I thought I’d just go ahead and share it now since Christmas Eve is only a week away (eeeeek!). These cookies are my favorite, but I have to warn you about something…these babies are like cookie crack. Seriously, once you start eating them you probably won’t be able to stop, unless you have some kind of super hero power. I especially love the dough! And yes, I know you’re not supposed to eat raw cookie dough, but I’m a rule breaker like that. Anyway, these cookies are ammmmmazing. I was eating way too many yesterday as I was putting these in and out of the oven and I ended up in a sugar coma for a good three hours afterwards. But it was totally worth it. I have no regrets. Besides, calories don’t count during Christmas, right?!

- 1/2 C brown sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar and brown sugar in an electric mixer. Add in the egg and vanilla.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the butter mixture. Then add the M&M’s.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
- Enjoy while warm out of the oven. Ideally with a glass of cold milk.
These are the kind of cookies you’ll want to take to the office Christmas party. Or the church potluck. Or the Christmas Eve family gathering. Or anywhere people are eating. Seriously, these are soooooooo delicious, you’ll be proud to put your name on them. And these might just become your new favorite cookie. Especially if you’re into really amazing chocolate treats. They’re extra decadent and perfect to enjoy around Christmas time. And of course, these cookies are great for Santa too!
PS: Store your cookies in an air tight container with a piece of sandwich bread. The bread will keep the cookies nice and soft! Trust me.
Thanks so much for dropping in today. Let me know if you make these yummy cookies!
