You know what’s kinda crazy? I still haven’t fully adjusted to the time change. Nope. Not even a little bit. And to be really honest, I don’t like it at all. I mean, our sunset here in Colorado last night was at 4:36pm….4:36! That’s CRAZINESS, right?! I know it happens every year and I should be used to it by now, but holy cow. I just can’t deal with the sun going down that early. I think 5:30 or 6:00 would be much more reasonable. But since it’s not up to me and I have no say in the matter, I’m going to stop complaining about it and focus on the positive, like the fact that we’ve had super nice weather lately. I’m talking 75 degree, record-breaking kind of weather. It’s been glorious and as you can probably imagine I am absolutely loooooooving it. Another thing I’m loving is our cozy little entryway all decked out for Christmas. I spent some time this past weekend sprucing it up for the holiday season and I’m excited to share it with you guys today!
I don’t know why, but our entryway is always one of the first spots I switch up as the seasons change. It just seems like a good place to start as I transition from one season to the next. And even though this is a pretty tiny space, it’s still one of my favorite spots to decorate in our home.
I used this hanging reindeer feed grain sack in our entryway last year and I was super excited to get it out of storage so I could use it again this year. I love the creamy oatmeal color with the subtle red stripes. I also have the matching reindeer feed pillow and I paired it with this beautiful red stripe ticking pillow, which is absoutlely perfect for Christmas. You guys know how much I love ticking stripe fabric!
I ordered a set of these galvanized farmhouse Christmas buckets a few weeks ago and I knew immediately that I’d used the smaller one in our entryway. Isn’t it cute?! I love the jute rope handles! It definitely adds a rustic vibe to this look.
I have to say, I am really enjoying my Christmas decor this year–so much more than I did last year. I told you guys in my last post that I decided to go a different route this year with my holiday decor and so far I am really loving the change. Isn’t it funny how our style can evolve over time? We are constantly changing and adapting and it’s actually kind of a cool process. Besides, life would be boring if we always stayed the same, right?! I think so.
Well I hope you like our little rustic Christmas entryway. Thanks for dropping in today and be sure to let me know if you have any questions!
